FETAL
ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
TBA
Fetal echocardiography is an ultrasound
test performed during pregnancy to evaluate the heart of the unborn baby.
Echocardiography assesses the heart's structures and function. Fetal echocardiography
can help detect fetal heart abnormalities before birth, allowing for faster
medical or surgical intervention once the baby is born. This improves the
chance of survival after delivery for babies with serious heart defects.
Introduction to Congenital Heart
Disease, Tools for Fetal Echo: 2D, M-mode, Doppler, Embryology & anatomy
of the Fetal Hear, Physiology, Cardiac scanning views, Fetal Heart Evaluation
(step 1 to 4)
Epstein malformation of the tricuspid
valve, tricuspid dysplasia & insufficiency, hypoplastic right heart
syndrome, tricuspid atresia, pulmonic stenosis, pulmonary atresia w/ intact
venticular septum, premature closure of the ductus arteriosus & the
foramen ovale, aortic stenosis, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, left
